Hector L. Vazquez, Jr. is a passionate preacher, author , and founder of Vazquez Ministry, dedicated to proclaiming the uncompromised Gospel to the world. His bold voice committed to preaching and proclaiming the uncompromising for the authority of Scripture, he speaks and write with urgency, knowing that eternity hangs in the balance. His message confronts sin, exposes deception, and calls people to repentance, faith, and total surrender to Christ.
Rooted in the truth of God’s Word, Hector addresses the spiritual battle raging for the hearts and minds of humanity. He challenges believers to rise from spiritual slumber, to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy, and to live unashamed of the Gospel. His writing is a call to decision—light or darkness, truth or lies, heaven or hell.
Hector’s journey of faith began on a summer Sunday in 1994, when an unexpected knock at this apartment door interrupted his plans to watch baseball and enjoy a 24-pack of beer with hot wings. Standing before him were four strangers – a pastor and three women – who spoke to him about salvation, forgiveness, and the love of Jesus Christ. When asked, “if you died today, would you go to heaven or hell?” Hector found himself without an answer. That very day, he surrendered his life to Christ – and has walked in God’s grace for over three decades.
In the summer of 2015, while living in Texas, Hector received his divine calling. While repairing barbed wire in a pasture, he felt a top on his shoulder and hear the Holy Spirit say, “it’s time to preach My Word.” The very next day, a trusted friend confirmed this through a dream of him preaching from the pulpit. Hector then sought the covering of his spiritual leaders, Bishop Rudolph Tucker and Prophetess Irene Tucker, who later ordained him. In June 2019, God brought him back to Norfolk, where both he and the Tuckers’ daughter were ordained as Elders. In August 2020, Hector and Occoneechee were united in marriage, blending ministry and marriage in God’s perfect timing.
June 2025, Hector launched Vazquez Ministries, leveraging platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and in-person evangelism to share the Gospel globally. His mission is clear: to reach the lost, disciple believers, and equip the Body of Christ to stand firm in the truth of God’s Word.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Divinity from Christian Leaders Institute, Hector Vazquez is committed to lifelong learning and faithful service. He is the author of multiple works, including his forthcoming second book, and preaches with a bold, Spirit-led conviction that resonates deeply with all who hear him.
Hector Vazquez proclaims Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior, and coming King. His purpose is singular: to glorify God, exalt Christ, and warn this generation while there is still time.
His favorite scripture, Psalm 91:1-2, reflects his life’s testimony:
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”
When not preaching or writing, he treasures time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren – his greatest earthly treasures.
